Metal Diary is a first hand exploration of context. Series 33 was executed in the Royal College of Art in London and Series 55 was conducted in Kuwait.
The metals that were used (tin, antimony and pewter) are locally sourced, low melting alloys melted on a regular stove. This allows for multiple revisions and rapid development of ideas, through the process of making. The resulting series of one off mini sculptures captures the fluidity of this process and play during making. This presents a close sense of malleability, unrestrained play, and an unapologetic exploration of form and context.
